Located north of Spokane, Washington, Pat Rogers has been successfully training AKC, HRC, and NAHRA titled dogs for more than 20 years. Pat's training philosophy is to teach first, train second, and always treat each dog with respect and fairness. He starts each dog by making sure the dog has that deep desire to retrieve. This provides the handler with a mechanism for rewarding the dog. Once the dog is crazy about retrieving, he teaches obedience - the foundation on which all future training is built. Understanding how to break down or simplify the different components is critical in being a good communicator to and for your dog.
